Everything you need to know

  • How do I schedule a visit?

Our farm is available upon scheduling for your tour or private event. Our products are available at events throughout the regions and are listed on our Events page (for example: Kitsap Fresh, Bainbridge Farmers Market etc.)

Lavender typically blooms late June - August. (depending on Mother Nature).

Plan your visit by using the Contact page. For a private tour, plan to spend about about 2 hours and longer if if you decide to linger.

Are you coming for Lavender? The fields are expected to be bloom SUMMER 2024.

  • How do I get to you?

From Seattle: take the Bainbridge Island Ferry. Continue Straight off the ferry and directly onto State HWY 305. Drive 6 miles and turn EAST/Right when you see our sign.

A car is extremely helpful on Bainbridge Island and recommended. There are no Taxi or Uber/LYFT services on island.

If you walk-on the Ferry, take Kitsap Transit Bus (cost $2.00). Route 93 runs M-F and get off at Komedal and Seabold or Route 333 to 390 get off at Day Road and HWY 305 then walk 30 min (not recommended)

Driving from Poulsbo: from HWY 305 drive over Agate Pass Bridge onto Bainbridge Island and turn EAST/LEFT at our sign.

  • What about kids, dogs, ADA accessible?

We absolutely welcome children and dogs. Children must be watched closely on the farm and within adult reach at all times.

Dogs are welcome but must be leashed (our barn cat does not like being chased) and we ask you kindly pick up any waste (we have extra bags if you need them).

For those with limited mobility, there is a paved drive with a lovely view of the lavender however the Forest Trail and Bee experience are less accessible.

  • What to expect?

Plan to spend about 2 hours with us exploring three different areas:

The Forest walk: The Forest Walk offers insight into Native Flora and is self-guided with both written and audio tour information available on your phone. The trail is roughly maintained with wood chips and is approximately 1/3 of a mile with minimal elevation.

BEE experience: In this one-hour experience, you will learn about honeybees from our beekeeper, Aaron. You will have an opportunity to “suit up” and hold a frame of bees from the hive (if you are allergic to bees do not attend this experience).

Lavender Fields: Our lavender field was planted in Spring of 2023 and will be ready for harvest in Summer 2024. Soon our products will be available at our Farm Stand and Gift Shop, through wholesale and check our event page to find us. We also offer live-spinning of Cotton Candy at your event.

  • Do you sell food? What else can I buy?

We will have sips and nibbles available for purchase including lavender lemonade, popsicles and lavender cotton candy.

In an effort to minimize waste, we welcome you to bring your own beverage container.

Our gift shop is focused on the Culinary uses of lavender and we currently feature Norwood Farms products including lavender infused into lemonade, hot chocolate, simple syrup, cake mixes, scones, cookies, tea and more.
